French for Beginners (Level 1) is an introductory course designed for individuals with little to no prior knowledge of the French language. Students will develop the ability to communicate effectively in real-life situations by understanding and applying reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

Objective of Level 1 French Course

French for Beginners, also known as Level 1, is our introductory French course. Here, students lay a strong foundation for learning the language. It helps you recognize unfamiliar words, form sentences, and use daily expressions.

The primary objective is to build an understanding of general topics and to produce written work on them. You also gain basic conversational skills and can interact more confidently after completing this Level 1 French course. You can also use multimedia elements with elementary grammatical structures and vocabulary.

As soon as you complete the Basic Certificate course, consider taking CEFR A1 of DELF.

This course is designed for adults with a basic understanding of English who wish to learn French. It starts with an easy introduction to the language, so you don’t need any prior knowledge.

“French for Beginners” is suitable for teenagers ages 14 and up, college students, and working professionals. Course Description

This introductory French course at LanguageNext will teach you the basic skills necessary for effective communication. Through a solid foundation in the language, you’ll be able to recognize words, vocabulary, grammar, construct sentences, and express yourself in everyday situations.

You will learn conversational and writing skills on various topics in the present and future tenses. You will develop the ability to introduce yourself, discuss your personal and daily life, and ask others about their lives and habits.

This French for Beginners level enables you to ask and answer questions about yourself, as well as describe the weather, places, people, and things.

This course introduces students to French by providing intensive study of key aspects of the language through practice sets and audio lessons. At the same time, it presents the workings and sounds of the language, providing the necessary tools for students to create sentences from scratch.

The primary purpose of this French for Beginners course is to develop understanding and produce written texts on general topics. As a result of this course, you will be able to engage in a conversation in a slow-paced interaction. Level 1 can prepare students for the basic level of French and A1 of the DELF.

Certification

The French for Beginners (Level 1) program concludes with a 2-hour test to assess the student’s listening, writing, reading, and speaking abilities, which entitles them to a Certificate of Completion (Level 1, A1). It serves as proof that you have completed and passed the course.

To receive this certificate, you must achieve a score of at least 50%. It is necessary to advance to the next level. To improve your skills and understanding at this level, aim for a score of 60-65%.
